Savvis Communications Corp. is an information technology consultant with 2,500 unique business and government customers. The company sells managed hosting and colocation services with more than 50 data centers in North America, Europe, and Asia with automated management and provisioning systems, and information technology consulting. Avid has worked with Savvis at their Waltham location to provide redundancy improvements throughout existing computer rooms. Tasks included the evaluation of several systems, and system types resulting in the replacement and improvement of several systems to enhance reliability. As part of this project, four rooftop units were replaced for Savvis and the associated ductwork was reconfigured to promote the redundancy of the system.
